We’re just about to our 2 year anniversary, so of course I’m thinking and reliving every moment of our wedding! I’ve decided to link up with Macy from To Travel and Beyond and Meg from Borrowed Heaven for Wedding Wednesday!
What does this mean? Each Wednesday I’ll be sharing one detail from our big day! Be sure to check back and see how we celebrated love!
The guestbook from a wedding can remind you of the day, guest, jokes, and much, much more. I wanted more than just a book that would sit on a shelf and only be looked at once a year. This was an idea that came from the Hubby (he’s pretty creative)! Insteadof a traditional book we used Adirondack Chairs!
We bought two chairs from a local mennonite family. The craftsmanship of these chairs is unbeatable. The chairs even fold for easy winter storage – what an added bonus?!
The chairs were set up near the entrance with multiple different paint pens. Guest could choose the color and which chair to sign. We considered having a “His” and “Her” chair, but decided against this.
I put a coat of polyurethane on these baby’s and they are ready for some outdoor attention.
Ben and I enjoy these babies while sitting around our fire pit and each time we’re outside during the summer months. To prolong their life, we store the guest book in the barn for the snowy months.
Did you have a creative or non traditional guestbook? Let me know – I’d love to see other ideas!
Check back next Wedding Wednesday for a new post and another detail from one of the Best Days of My Life!
Don’t Miss a Thing from Yellow Dog Pink Pig!
Oh my gosh, this is SUCH a good idea!!! I’ve never heard of anything like this before. All of the unique guest book ideas these days are the best. Thanks so much for linking up, and I can’t wait to see what else you share from your wedding. PS your dress – AMAZING!!

Thanks! It was all my husband. It was also nice because we had a large venue space, so it helped fill the area and make it homey.

Love this idea! We made a guest book calendar which was a little outside the box. The chairs are really neat though!

This is such a good idea! I love that you have something you will actually use and see often instead of just a book put away in a box and forgotten about. Love it! Thanks for sharing at Inspiration Thursday.
